The effect of job satisfaction on organizational profitability with the mediating role of organizational commitment in a credit institution

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction on the profitability of the organization and the mediating role of organizational commitment among the employees of one of the credit institutions. Profitability is a decisive and necessary factor for the stability of the organization. In order to achieve more profitability, the employees of an organization must be fully satisfied with their job and profession. Employees with job satisfaction and motivation promote the organization and overcome competitors. The upcoming research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of method, it is classified as descriptive-survey research. The statistical population under investigation is the employees of one of the credit institutions in Mashhad city, 200 people were selected as a sample using a simple random sampling method. To achieve the aim of the study, three JDI job satisfaction questionnaires by Smith and Hevlin (1969), organizational commitment measurement by Allen and Meier (1990) and Naderinejad profitability questionnaire (2014) were used and their reliability was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha method. Due to the absence of multiple collinearity in predictor variables, parametric tests of Pearson's correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were used in the research. According to the results, the effect of job satisfaction on organizational profitability, the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment, and the effect of organizational commitment on organizational profitability were significant. Finally, the results of the Bootstrap table showed that job satisfaction has an effect on organizational profitability with the mediating role of organizational commitment.
