Therapeutic and health tourism is one of the growing sectors of the tourism industry in the world, which has caused organizations involved and countries interested in tourism development to pay attention to this part of the tourism industry and plan for it. The purpose of this study is to review and analyze The place of traditional medicine and medicinal plants in the development of health tourism in South Khorasan province. The present research is based on the purpose of applied research and based on the descriptive-analytical nature. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to analyze the hypotheses. The statistical population of the study includes specialists, experts and officials of organizations related to health tourism, relevant departments and tourists and tourists who have visited these attractions. The method of data collection is library and field with questionnaire and observation tools. For data analysis, one-sample t-tests and multi-objective optimization model based on ratio analysis were used. The results show that South Khorasan province has very high potentials for the development of traditional medicine and medicinal plants and the sustainable development of health tourism, and if properly managed, communication and advertising infrastructure can be the future perspective of health tourism development. He drew the province very clearly. Also, weak physical infrastructure, poor advertising, lack of proper management and cognitive fun and proper planning are the most important obstacles to the development of health tourism in South Khorasan province.
